My friend Sharee and I went to this Immersive Peter Pan & Neverland experience recently and once we were done we were super hungry. Being that Broadway Oyster Bar is open later, we decided to go there and I’m so glad that we did because the food was delicious.
Broadway Oyster Bar (better known as B.O.B.) has been an STL staple for over 35 years and is widely regarded as the premier New Orleans’ style restaurant, bar and music venue in the Midwest. Being that they have such amazing food and great live music, you can see why Broadway Oyster Bar has won countless awards. Now that you know a little of the B.O.B. backstory, lets get into this food that we ordered shall we? If you are also interested in watching how our time at the Immersive Peter Pan & Neverland went, then feel free to click here.
We had plenty to drink at the event so we didn’t order any for dinner but the drinks at Broadway Oyster Bar are also really good. You can’t go wrong with whatever you choose but my favorite is definitely the SOCO Hurricane. For our appetizers, I chose the Blue Crab Cakes and Sharee ordered the Shrimp VooDoo.
Crab cakes are definielty one of my love languages and the ones at Broadway Oyster Bar are some of my favorites to eat. Not only are do you get a good helping of crab meat but they are also served on top of these fried green tomatoes and the crab cakes are then topped with their delicious Crawfish Cardinale sauce. The crab cakes at the Broadway Oyster Bar definitely get a 10 out of 10 on the smacktastic scale.
The Shrimp VooDoo at Broadway Oyster Bar are everything! Sharee let me try some hers and when I tell you I had to use all restraint from ordering some of my own? lol Not only is the shrimp itself a nice decent size, but then it’s fried until golden brown and then tossed in their Sweet N’ Spicy Sriracha VooDoo sauce. Ya’ll…
For our entrรฉe, we both ordered the Fish Tacos. The tacos come with fried Mahi-Mahi fish fillets, their spicy coleslaw, avocado, pico de gallo and a Broadway Oyster Bar’s remoulade. Plus, you also get a big helping of their red beans and rice as a side. Mahi-Mahi is one of my favorite types of fish and these fillets are seasoned and cooked perfectly. That B.O.B. remoulade is also so tasty and it really ties the dish together. Ya’ll already know that my love for tacos is real and the ones at the Broadway Oyster Bar are absolutely delicious.
If you haven’t checked out Broadway Oyster Bar out yet then you are really missing out. Not only is the food and drinks really good here but the hospitaltiy is also always top knotch. Broadway Oyster Bar is definitely one of my favorite places to eat and once you try it, I guarantee it will be one of yours too. Thanks for tuning in everyone and until next time loves…
