My sister and I couldn’t decide on where we wanted to eat for dinner but we did know that some really good drinks were in order and that we didn’t want to eat at a restaurant that we’ve been to before.
So I pulled out my handy-dandy ‘Restaurant’s To Visit’ list (and yes, I even have a list for out of town restaurants I want to try from watching Food Networks Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives..but that’s another story lol) and my sister and I decided on Bricktops. Bricktops is located in Plaza Frontenac here in St. Louis, MO and they serve gourmet American dishes.
As you walk in; you are greeted with a friendly face, amazing artwork and it has a very intimate feel with all of the dim lighting. It took less than 5 minutes for us to be seated and our waiter came over promptly and gave us our menus.
Now the back of the menu only shows drinks for their wine and beer selections, however, they also do have a full bar. I let the waiter know that I liked fruity drinks and asked for his recommendation. He suggested their watermelon martini and I can see why because it was super tasty! It even had a scoop of watermelon in it.
For an appetizer, we ordered the coconut shrimp with sweet chili sauce. The sweet chili sauce definitely adds a nice kick to the crunch of the shrimp and it was so good!
For dinner, my sister ordered the Prime Berkshire Pork Chop with whipped mashed potatoes. She said the meat was well seasoned, the potatoes were very delicious and that she really enjoyed her meal.
I told you that I was really hungry right? Ok good. So I ordered the crab cakes and the yum yum roll and both dishes brought a lot of joy to my stomach lol.

The Yum-Yum roll is made with tempura shrimp, crab and asparagus and is topped with filet mignon and yum yum sauce.
Our sweet tooth definitely needed some attention so for dessert we ordered their chocolate chip cookie that is served with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with caramel syrup.
From the food to the hospitality…Bricktops gets 5 stars. Everything was so good and we would/will definitely come back. I hear their brunch is really good so I’ll have to blog about that next. =D If you haven’t eaten here yet, I highly suggest you do so because I promise that you won’t be disappointed.
Until next time loves… XO
