Incredible Creole Cuisine Located In STL’s City Foundry; Welcome To 4Hens Creole Kitchen

Hey everyone and Happy Black History Month! ✊🏾

After taking a much needed social media break, I’m excited to be back and ready to share all of these new food places with you guys! So up first is 4 Hens Creole Kitchen. 4 Hens Creole Kitchen is located in the STL City Foundry and it was founded by Chef Brandi Artis. Chef Brandi Artis is a Kansas City native who fell in love with cooking by starting in her grandmothers kitchen and she even worked in a professional kitchen while in high school.

Before she even graduated high school, Chef Brandi Artis was already promoted to an assistant manager and then she went on to attend JCCC for culinary school. While also studying Hospitality Management, Chef Brandi worked in the kitchens of Kona Grill, Bar Louie, The Classic Cup, and many more. By working in multiple kitchens, it really allowed Chef Brandi to expand her knowledge of different cuisines. She then recently moved to St.Louis MO to open up 4 Hens Creole Kitchen in August of 2021 and I’m so glad she did because the food here is bomb!

There are so many great options to choose from on the 4Hens Creole Kitchen menu but Candace and I wanted to try a little bit of everything so we went with the Menage A Trios. ($22) It comes with some slappin’ shrimp, fried green tomatoes, and some chicken dawlings that are drizzled with dirty mustard. The meal also comes with a side of fries, creole ranch for dipping, and for our beverage we chose their 16oz strawberry lemonade. ($5)

Chef Brandi told us upfront that we would have to wait about 20-25 minutes because not only was 4Hens Creole Kitchen super packed, but your food is also made fresh to order so we didn’t mind waiting. After the first bite, I immediately knew that we made the right decision coming here because ya’ll…πŸ˜©πŸ™ŒπŸ½πŸ€€

Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly and the dirty mustard really adds the right amount of razzle dazzle to the dish. Speaking of the dirty mustard Chef Brandi, I need that to be bottled in the future so that I can buy some. Please and thanks. lol Not everybody can make fried green tomatoes correctly but the ones at 4Hens Creole Kitchen were probably some of the best that I’ve ever had. They were so juicy on the inside but crispy and delicious on the outside.

There are so many great places to eat at the City Foundry and 4Hens Creole Kitchen is already a favorite of mine. If you haven’t been to the City Foundry or 4Hens Creole Kitchen yet, you should definitely stop by and check them out.
