Happy Thursday and welcome back to another food post! My friend Candace and I were hungry and wanted to try out a new restaurant and so we went to The Blue Duck. Our mutual friend Carmen kept telling us how good the food was there so we just had to go check it out for ourselves.
Carmen didn’t steer us wrong because ya’ll…this food was bomb! 😩🙌🏽 So to start, Candace ordered their Spinach Artichoke dip and she loved it. I tasted some and it was so full of flavor and it was the perfect consistency. She appreciated the container that it was served in too. All you have to do is add a lid and it’s good to go. For her eéntre, she chose the chef special which was a grilled chicken sandwich made up of caramelized onion, aioli, arugula, and cheese. She also really enjoyed her side which was the Bacon Fat Fries. They are topped with parmesan, shallot aioli, and herbs.
For dessert, Candace also ordered the Louberry. It is Gooey Butter ice cream swirled with strawberries and blueberries and she said it was absolutely delicious.
I started off with their Porkbelly Cheese Fries and let me tell ya’ll something…
These fries though?! They were absolutely smacktastic. The porkbelly was just so crispy and juicy and the fries were topped with BBQ and a three cheese sauce. For my eéntre, I also ordered the Sam Elliott Burger.
The burger was so juicy and cooked perfectly and it’s made up of a BBQ rub, bacon, yellow cheddar, white cheddar, onion rings, arugula, sweet BBQ sauce, and red eye mayo on green chile brioche bun. For my side, I chose their side salad which was also really good.
We loved everything that we ate at The Blue Duck and we will be coming back to try some more food on their menu. I highly recommend this place if you have never been and thanks for tuning in!
Until next time loves…
