Come And Eat Brunch With Me At Polite Society

Hey everyone and thanks for coming back! Since the pandemic started, the girls and I haven’t been able to go to brunch like we used to. This past weekend my two of my friends and I had some much needed girl time over brunch and we went to this restaurant called Polite Society . This was everyone’s first time here and I was excited to try the food because I’ve heard such great things.

Ya’ll…when I tell you the brunch food here is so bomb?!? I didn’t know what to expect but as soon as the waiter brought our food out, I instantly knew that my stomach and I were about to be blessed.

Let’s start off with drinks shall we? So the whole table ordered a Blueberry Lavender Liqueur. Not only is the drink super tasty, but it’s also very pretty to look at.

Now time for the food! Candace ordered the Biscuits & Gravy and the Osso Buco Hash (minus the eggs). Now these Biscuits & Gravy are really good but just keep in mind that they aren’t like the ones your auntie used to make. If you are also a fan of thyme, then you will definitely enjoy this dish. She loved her meal and even said she would order it again.

The Osso Buco Hash is made with Wine Braised Pork, Two Poached Eggs, Potatoes, Cipollini Onion, Peppers, and a Port Wine Demi Glace.

Franny ordered the Shrimp & Grits and the French Toast and she said everything was very flavorful and delicious. I definitely had a bite of her food and I can agree to that statement lol. Side note: their bacon is really good too. Not all bacon is created equal but their’s is a good thick cut and it was cooked to perfection.

The Shrimp & Grits is made with Blackened Gulf Shrimp, Cheese Grits, Sofrito, and a Lime Crema.

I ordered the Chicken & Waffles with a side of bacon. Our server let me know ahead of time that not everyone is a fan the Maple Korean Barbecue Syrup so they brought me out both regular and the Maple Korean Barbecue syrup so that I could try both. I personally liked the Maple Korean Barbecue Syrup and I think that it adds a certain kick to the dish.

The chicken is a Panko Crusted Cutlet and it comes with Maple Korean Barbecue Syrup.

The girls and I had such a great time at Polite Society and we left very full. Our server Andrew was awesome, and I appreciate that all of the tables were 6 ft apart and that everyone who worked there had on masks and gloves. The decor is super cute on the inside and the hospitality was great as well. If you have never been to Polite Society for brunch, I highly suggest you give them a try! Reservations are encouraged but you are also able to do a walk in.

Thanks for tuning in and until next time loves…

XO
